Miss Donna Gumpert, Carbondale, was maid of honor, attired in a royal blue gown of peau de soie with a scoop neckline, cap sleeves and fitted bodice, bell-shaped, street length skirt with unpressed pleats. She carried Autumn colored pom-poms, and wore royal blue peau de soie headpiece with nose veil.
Miss Alice Langan, Carbondale, and Mrs. Joseph Kelly, Binghamton, N.Y., sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids, in gowns identical to the maid of honor's. They all wore white kid gloves, gifts of the bride.
David Pryal, Carbondale, was best man. John Casey, Norfolk Va; John Whitney, Bronx, N.Y; Michael Dougherty, Darwin F. Bowen, James Meehan, Oscar Minear, Richard Leahy and Dwyer Lawless, all station with the Marine Corps in Philadelphia, ushered and formed a military honor guard.
Breakfast for the wedding party followed at the Montadle Country Club, where an afternoon reception was held.

Ruth Ann (Scanlon) Casey, 93, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Paul R. Casey, Sr., MD, who died on February 12, 2004.
Born in Carbondale, PA, on December 25, 1919, Mrs. Casey was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Bridget (Belinda) McHugh Scanlon. She was one of eight children and resided in Jenkintown, PA for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Casey's Irish charm, fierce independence and playful wit were hallmarks of her personality. She was deeply devoted to her faith, children and grandchildren. In addition to her residence in Jenkintown, Mrs. Casey owned a summer home on Lake Constance in Hawley,PA. She enjoyed many decades entertaining friends and family at the lake. She will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know her.
Mrs. Casey is survived by five sons: Joseph T. Casey (Veronica) of Glenside, PA, Paul R. Casey, Jr., MD (Kathleen) of Gwynedd Valley, PA, Kevin P. Casey, MD of Scranton, PA, Gary M. Casey (Lynn) of Hamlin, PA, and Brian Casey (Shirley) of Hudson, NH. Three daughters: Patricia A. Walker (James) of Coopersburg, PA, Karen P. Beilman (Michael) of Hawley, PA, and Ruthann Cloman (Kyle) of Yardley, PA; 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Mrs. Casey's life with a funeral Mass on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 8320 Brookside Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027, with Reverend Raymond Himsworth officiating. A viewing will precede Mass from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, Warrington Township, PA. Ruth Ann (Scanlon) Casey, 93, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Paul R. Casey, Sr., MD, who died on February 12, 2004.
Born in Carbondale, PA, on December 25, 1919, Mrs. Casey was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Bridget (Belinda) McHugh Scanlon. She was one of eight children and resided in Jenkintown, PA for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Casey's Irish charm, fierce independence and playful wit were hallmarks of her personality. She was deeply devoted to her faith, children and grandchildren. In addition to her residence in Jenkintown, Mrs. Casey owned a summer home on Lake Constance in Hawley,PA. She enjoyed many decades entertaining friends and family at the lake. She will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know her.
Mrs. Casey is survived by five sons: Joseph T. Casey (Veronica) of Glenside, PA, Paul R. Casey, Jr., MD (Kathleen) of Gwynedd Valley, PA, Kevin P. Casey, MD of Scranton, PA, Gary M. Casey (Lynn) of Hamlin, PA, and Brian Casey (Shirley) of Hudson, NH. Three daughters: Patricia A. Walker (James) of Coopersburg, PA, Karen P. Beilman (Michael) of Hawley, PA, and Ruthann Cloman (Kyle) of Yardley, PA; 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Mrs. Casey's life with a funeral Mass on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 8320 Brookside Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027, with Reverend Raymond Himsworth officiating. A viewing will precede Mass from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, Warrington Township, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James RC Church, see address above, or Chandler Hall, 99 Barkley St., Newtown, PA 18940.
