John and Nancy came to the USA from County Mayo in the late 1880's. They were brought here by John's uncle, Martin Cosgrove, who had a store in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. They lived in Mount Carmel a short time, and then moved to Mayfield, Pennsylvania for a year or two. Later they moved to Carbondale Township where they built a house and raised a family. They had thirteen children. Eight of whom survived beyond childhood.¹

     She married Sylvester William Cook. Barbara was born on 19 November 1871, at Baltimore, Maryland 21200. She was the daughter of John N. Schmidt and Elizabeth (??) Schmidt. Barbara died on 23 January 1970 at age 98.

     William was born on 5 October 1863. He married Harriet A. Stonelake on 25 June 1907. William died on 23 October 1938 at age 75.

     Harriet was born on 28 September 1878, at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania 19092. She was the daughter of Benjamin Shapley Stonelake and Catherine A. Harvey. She married William A.J. Mullen on 25 June 1907. Harriet died on 23 November 1959 at age 81.

     He married Catherine A. Harvey. Benjamin was born on 29 November 1857. Benjamin died on 12 April 1923 at age 65.

     She married Benjamin Shapley Stonelake. Catherine was born on 24 December 1853, at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania 19092. She was the daughter of Edward Harvey and Bridget Donahue. Catherine died on 6 March 1928 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania 19092, at age 74.

     Terrance Fernandez is the son of Sydney Joseph Fernandez and Christien Mary D'Souza. He married Jennifer Ann Casey on 25 September 1993 at Douglas, Michigan.¹

     John was born, at Dickson City, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18519. He was the son of Harry Homisak and Tillie Duplak. He married Mary Mordovancy.      John Homisak, Pittsburgh, died Sunday in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, after an illness. His widow is the former Mary Mordovancy, formerly of Olyphant.
     Born in Dickson City, he attended Dickson City schools. He moved to Pittsburgh 50 years ago and was a retired machinist for Westinghouse. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Church, Pittsburgh.
     Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marie Frankel, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Joan Naehu, Honolulu, Hawaii, and attorney Theresa, Pittsburgh; three sisters, Mrs. Helen. Con- forti, Long Island, N.Y., Mrs. Mary Mizerak, Lincoln Park, N.J., and Mrs. Justine Petronchak, Eynon; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Peter and William; and a sister, Ann.
     The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Turko Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 in SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olyphant. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville.
     Friends may call today, 7 to 9 p.m.¹.² His body was interred on 16 June 1994, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery at Peckville, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18452. His funeral was held on 16 June 1994, at at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, at Olyphant, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18447.
