Kathleen attended the First Casey Family Reunion, held on 26 September 1992 at Phillips Manor, at Cortez, Jefferson Township, Lackwanna County, Pennsylvania.5 She died on 24 March 2014 at 2nd Street, home, Archbald, Lackawanna, PA, at age 56. The following obituary was published on 25 March 2014:
Kathleen Casey, 56, of Archbald, passed into the hands of the Lord, on Monday, March 24, 2014, at 9:45 in the morning, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Piatt Casey, of Archbald and the wife of Dr. Jerome P. Casey, of Archbald.
She was a graduate of Valley View High School, Class of 1975. After high school, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Science from Pennsylvania State University in Education, and later earned her Master’s Degree in Arts at Marywood University in Counseling Education.
She was an E.S.L. teacher at Bankcroft Elementary in the Scranton School District.
Throughout her life, she was a proud supporter of unions and always encouraged others to support them, as well.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward A. and Lauretta Wright Casey, of Archbald; maternal grandparents, Fred and Ann Tebo Piatt, of Archbald; father and mother-in-law, Paul Sr. and Margaret (Dolly) Cawley Casey, of Scranton; brother-in-law, Paul Casey Jr., of Scranton; and sister-in-law, Lavergne Casey, of Scranton.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Casey, and her husband, Jonathan Quagliarello, of Havertown, Pa; son, Sean Casey, of Mamaroneck, N.Y; daughters, Kolleen Casey, and Sloane Casey, both of Archbald; brother, Ken Casey and his wife, Donna, their daughters, Kellie, Laura, and Sharleen Kishbaugh and her husband, Jeremy, and their children Gemma and Jaxen; brother, James Casey and his wife, Brenda, and their daughters, Carly and Mariah. She is also survived by many cousins and other relatives.
Kathleen loved to hug her children and family. She would ask that you also do the same.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Francise Regan, Isnerva Gonezulis, and Ann Grebeck, for being amazing friends. They would also like to thank Rosemary Boland, STF 117 President, for everything she did for Kathleen.
Funeral will be directed by the S.J.Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth on Thursday morning at 9:00 from the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street, Archbald, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Christ the King Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 429 Church Street, Archbald. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery, Archbald.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00, at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, Archbald.

Kathleen Casey, 56, of Archbald, passed into the hands of the Lord, on Monday, March 24, 2014, at 9:45 in the morning, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Piatt Casey, of Archbald and the wife of Dr. Jerome P. Casey, of Archbald.
