     Denise Marie Gromelski was born in 1955. As of February 1974,her married name was Wright. She married Joseph T. Wright Jr., son of Joseph T. Wright, in February 1974. Denise Marie Gromelski Wright, 53, of LaPlume died Tuesday afternoon after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her husband is Joseph T. Wright Jr. They celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in February

The daughter of Rose Marie Notari Gromelski of Old Forge and the late Joseph Gromelski, she attended Marywood Seminary and was a 1973 graduate of the Scranton Preparatory School. She received her registered nurse's license from Gwynedd-Mercy School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Marywood University. Denise also pursued post-graduate studies in women's health at the University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout her career as a registered nurse, she was employed by St. Barnabas Hospital, New Jersey and Mercy Hospital in the emergency room. She also taught nursing at the University of Scranton and served director of health sciences at Keystone College.

Denise was an avid gardener and loved spending time and cooking for her family friends. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, including numerous ski trips to Italy. One of her greatest passions was her horse and horseback riding. She was a warm and d loving person with a spirit that few who met her could forget. Her proudest accomplishment was her family, including her children and grandchildren.

Denise will always be remembered for her positive outlook in times of adversity and her determination for life.

Also surviving are four children; Katherine Ramey and a husband, Dr. J, Robert Ramey, Clarks Green; David, Wilmington, Del; and Meredith and Thomas, both at home; two brothers, Gerald Gromelski and wife, Sandra, Old Forge; and David Gromelski and wife, Mary, Clarks Green; grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In celebration of her life, a t memorial Mass will be offered Friday at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green.

The family will receive friends at the church Friday, 9 until Mass time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to Scranton Preparatory School, 1000 Wyoming Ave. Arrangements, Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash St., Scranton.¹

     Her married name was Pryal.^1,2 Mary Ellen Hughes married Michael Pryal, son of (?) Pryle.¹

     Michael Pryal was also known as Maritn and Michael were brothers - Michazel spelled his last name Pryal as did all other family members except Martin. Their wifes were sisters the daughters of James Huges and Bridget Caviston according to Mike Pryal.² He married Mary Ellen Hughes, daughter of James Hughes and Bridgit Caviston.¹

     Her married name was Kenny.¹ Margaret Hughes married Michael Kenny, son of Edward (Neddo) Kenny and Mary Dougherty, in 1893.³

     Michael Kenny was also known as Michael Kenny. He was born in September 1868 at Archbald, Pennsylvania.³ He married Margaret Hughes, daughter of James Hughes and Bridgit Caviston, in 1893.³ Michael Kenny died in 1922 at Archbald, Pennsylvania.³

     John Hughes married Mary McQuire.¹

     Mary McQuire married John Hughes, son of James Hughes and Bridgit Caviston.¹

     Her married name was Kelly.¹ Ellen Caviston married Patrick Kelly.¹
