Rosemary Warren (nee Wnuk) died on June 27, 2011 at the LutherCare Home. She was born on February 12, 1932 in Utica, New York. Right from the start, she loved life and tried her best to make the most out of it. She developed a lifelong love of learning. She graduated from Whitesboro High School, excelling in art.

Rosemary was outstanding domestically. But she also earned income outside the home. She worked full time at the local GE plant where they were using a new state of the art punch card system. She became one of the company's most efficient workers. But, unbeknownst to her, a different work was in store for her.

One day Rosemary looked out the window to view her meticulously planted flowers. To her horror she observed a man backing over her beautiful garden! Enraged, she grabbed a broom and ran out of the house yelling at the man. While she was yelling at him, he thought, "Well, if she cares about these flowers so much, maybe she could care about me too." He happened to be her brother's employer. So the man approached her brother and inquired if he could ask his sister out on a date. Her dumbfounded brother said okay but wondered about his boss. Rosemary, too, was hesitant. But she agreed. When he arrived to take her out on the date, she could not believe her eyes. Here this man she was used to seeing in concrete covered work clothes was in a suit and not a hair out of place! She thought he looked very handsome. And he was a perfect gentleman, unlike so many of the others she knew.

That perfect gentleman would come to ask for her hand in marriage. She accepted. Melvin and Rosemary were married on February 21, 1970 and enjoyed the next 41 years together.

In time Melvin and Rosemary became parents. Tracy grew up in a loving and nurturing home. Once, when Tracy was a little girl, Rosemary said she couldn't help but feel joy and count her blessings when she observed Melvin pulling a delighted and giggling Tracy outside in a little red wagon.

Rosemary studied the Bible with Harold and Connie Puckey and grew to know and love Jehovah. She symbolized her dedication by water baptism in 1975.

Melvin, Rosemary and Tracy were very hospitable. Any guest at the Warren home would be guaranteed excellent fellowship and a delicious meal, right down to the plates being warmed near the wood stove just before dinner. Melvin, Rosemary and Tracy opened up their home to many over the years. Pioneer school, for example, was a time when Rosemary and Tracy would work tirelessly to arrange beds, fit sheets, make meals, clean, and perform the other countless tasks to make the pioneers' stay at their home an enjoyable one. Countless Bethel speakers stayed at the Warren's. When the assemblies were held in Utica, the Warren home was opened up for brothers and sisters to stay with them. Wherever they could put a bed, the friends had a place to sleep. Sometimes it was a well packed house! The Warrens also opened up their home for the Congregation Book Study for many years.

But Rosemary wasn't all work and no play. She also knew how to dance. She performed the polka most exquisitely.

In later years, Rosemary wanted to improve the quality of her worship by exploring other avenues of the field ministry. So she engaged in letter writing, something she came to enjoy.

Rosemary is survived by her husband Melvin; daughter, Tracy (husband Daniel) Hubalek of New Hartford; sister Sharon & Christopher Macknair and three children: Shaun, Autumn & Michelle; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Stanley Wnuk, Alexander Peter Wnuk Jr., Walter Wnuk, Philip Wnuk, and Genevieve Gross.

Rosemary was a fine example of a wife, mother, dear sister, and cherished friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.1

She died on 27 June 2011 at LutherCare Home at age 79.1
