      John K. "Shamus" Barrett lived at 317 Pittston Ave., Scranton, PA, 18505-1126. He married Vera Stewart.^2,1 John was born on 1 January 1919, at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407. He was the son of James Fredrick Barrett and Anne Florence Casey. He resided 317 Pittston Avenue, at Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA 18505, in 1992. John died on 27 September 1994 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA 18505, at age 75. John K. Barrett, September 27, 1994

     John K. "Shamus" Barrett, a long-time resident of South Scranton, died Tuesday morning in Mercy Hospital. He was the husband of the former Vera Stewart.
     Born Jan. 1, 1919, in Scranton, son of the late Fred and Florence Casey Barrett, hewas a member of the Scranton Liederkranz Club. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a welder in Boston, Mass., by Bethlehem Steel
     Surviving are a son, John Edward, with whom he resided; a daughter, Barbara Ann Ciamataro, Quincy, Mass; three sisters, Barbara Thompson and Eleanor Kilker, both of Iselin, N.J., and Jane Conlogue, Pleasant Mount; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
     The funeral will be Saturday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 9;30 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrow Cemetery, Finch Hill.
     Friends may call Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.³

     Ruth was born on 2 July 1921, at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407. She was the daughter of James Fredrick Barrett and Anne Florence Casey. Ruth died on 31 December 1926 at age 5.

     Thomas was born on 1 January 1924, at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407. He was the son of James Fredrick Barrett and Anne Florence Casey. Thomas died in October 1926 at age 2.

     Barbara Barrett is the daughter of James Fredrick Barrett and Anne Florence Casey. She married Robert Thompson on 21 August 1951 at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407.^2,1

     Robert Thompson is the son of John Thompson and Mary Walsh. He married Barbara Barrett on 21 August 1951 at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407.^2,1

     Theresa Ann Thompson is the daughter of Robert Thompson and Barbara Barrett. She married Joseph B. Turner on 28 November 1980 at Iselin, New Jersey 08830.^2,1

     Jennifer Ann Turner is the daughter of Joseph B. Turner and Theresa Ann Thompson.

     She married John K. "Shamus" Barrett.^2,1 Vera was born on 11 November 1918, at Somerville, Massachusetts 02143. Vera died in November 1965 at age at an unknown age .

     Stephen was born on 16 June 1956, at Brockton, Massachusetts 02401. He was the son of John K. "Shamus" Barrett and Vera Stewart. Stephen died on 20 February 1975 at age 18.
