At 4 o'clock this morning occurred the death of Martin Casey, which occurred at his home, No. 181 Gordon avenue, following a brief illness of pneumonia. He was one of this citys' well known and respected residents and the announcement of his demise will be received with regret among his many friends and acquaintances in this community.
Deceased was sixty years of age and a native and lifelong resident of this city. Surviving are four sons, Daniel, Edward, John and Patrick; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Campbell, of Scranton; Mildred Casey, of Jermyn, and Mrs. Leo McDermott, of Scranton; also three sisters, Mrs. Bernard Crane, Mrs. Joseph Walker and Miss Margaret Casey, all of this city, and one brother, Edward Casey.
The funeral will take place Monday morning at 8:45 o'clock. After a requiem mass in St. Rose church, burial will be made in St. Rose cemetery.4

Surviving in addition to her son are another son, Allan Pierce, Long Valley; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; a brother, Gerald McCann; and a sister, Gertrude Clifford.
